Job Description
The MULTIPÔLE agency in Pontivy is recruiting Live Poultry Hangers (M/F) for one of its clients, a poultry slaughterhouse, for a temporary job in the food industry in France, based in Brittany.
Working in the slaughterhouse workshops, the Poultry Plant Worker in France will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Checking live chickens upon arrival in transport crates
- Sorting non-compliant chickens
- Hanging live chickens by both legs onto the slaughter line
- Working under ultraviolet lighting conditions
An internal training program will be provided by the client.
A specific animal welfare training will also be delivered before starting the job.

Candidate Profile
- Motivated, serious, well-organized and reliable
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Ability to work with live poultry and withstand specific odors
- Ability to maintain a steady work pace
- Comfortable working in cold environments (constant temperature around 8°C)
- Basic French language skills are an advantage
- Category B driving licence and personal vehicle are a plus
Contract Details
Contract Duration & Location
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Contract duration: Initial 3-month assignment, with possible extension up to 18 months
- Work location: Brittany region, France
Working Hours
- Full-time position: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7 hours per day)
- Overtime available
Salary
- Minimum net salary: €1,700
(including 10% paid leave + 10% end-of-assignment allowance) - Overtime pay:
- +25% from the 36th to the 43rd hour (approx. €16.50/hour)
- +50% from the 44th hour onwards
- Night shift bonus: +20% for hours worked between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am
- Accommodation cost (if required): €320 per month per person (all charges included)
